Bathroom Sink Styles

Selecting a bathroom sink style may appear to be an easy choice, but there are countless sink styles and options available for your bathroom! Before you shop for a new sink, consider our breakdown of the most popular bathroom sink configurations and styles available.

Drop in

Drop-in sinks, also referred to as self-rimming sinks, have a visible lip around the sink edge. This style of sink is a popular choice for the bathroom and is available in a variety of sizes, styles, and materials.

Undermount

Undermount sinks are installed from below the countertop surface and offer a few advantages over drop-in sinks. Undermount sinks increase counter space, offer a more seamless appearance, and are easier to clean than drop-in sinks.

Vanity

If you like storage tucked neatly behind closed doors, bathroom vanity sinks might be the right choice for you. Vanities also have the added benefit of providing added counter space – a feature many bathrooms lack.

Console

Console sinks serve as another attractive and space saving bathroom sink option. According to HGTV, “Console bathroom sinks are generally configured so that the sink itself sits inside of a console table, which features an open area beneath the sink base that can be used for storage or simply left open to create a more spacious feel.”
